Default Class participation

ASedan is still in 18th, but pretty close to moving up past F5. Midiv has tied SE division for most entrants (with 30) and will move into first after MAM. Looks like another good turnout there, with about 10 cars expected.

So, can one conclude that the SE had 26 AS participants in 11 races, or 2.3 per race?

It looks like ther have been 9 races in SE Division this year. So that would equate to 2.9 cars per event.

The chart indicates that they used results from 11 races in the SE division. That may, of course, be wrong. MIDIV has actually had 7 races, but they must not have counted the St. Louis race, which was our 7th. (Edit. The chart is through July, and St. Louis was 8/2>) That would add four more to the Midiv total, for 34. That equals 4.85 cars. We will have 10 at MAM, if everyone shows up. That gives Midiv 5.5 cars per event. I bet that is the best in the country, unless the NE puts more on the track with whatever they have left.

That formula seems accurate then, because due to my experience, 2-3 cars is the norm down here. There is a lot of discussion of cars coming back out of the shop. (mine included) If rumors hold true, the Labor Day race at Sebring "may" produce somewhere between 6-8 cars which would be awesome.

MAM has been a very popular race for ASedan. Three of the original Midiv Asedan guys, Frank, Tim and Bubba are usually there. Throw in Ted, wheel, Shawn, Bret, Tucker and the new guys, Tom Smith, Kim and Jack Martin, and pretty soon you have a full field. We will be requesting a split start, like last time.

To me, a split start means there is another car between the two AS cars at the green flag.

Not to hijack the thread ... but a reminder that on-line registration for MAM closes at 6PM EDT on Wednesday (8/12). So far, there aren't 10 AS cars entered.

So far: Tim, Ted, Wheel, Kim, Tom, and Jack.

If you're coming, please enter on-line. Or, if you're having trouble, just drop me an email (KelleyHux at yahoo dot com) and I'll get you on the list. MVRG says I have to charge a $40 late fee if you walk in at the track ... so plan ahead at least a little bit! I don't like to charge late fees.

Kopp - do you get a second birthday this year?

Thanks!
