New tech bulletin right before the runoffs. Bigger tires for 50 lbs for the GTO.

I seems a little late to be making changes but while we are at it give the full prep cars 10" wheels that would help seeing how the tire manufacturer specs that wheel for our tire size not asking for larger tires just wheels. I hope that our board has got enough changes to make every body even. I always thought we tried our changes before we made more. But as I said earlier the rules have changed form what they used to be. This class is really getting led down a road that witch no one is going to win. Love A S it is a class that has always been fun a full innovation now we are jus changing to change. Does anyone know what the end result be.

Not sure I understand this change so close to the Runoffs. In my former life as Secretary of the CRB, I was always told that such competition adjustments had to be made NLT the June Sprints. This was so that the state of all Runoffs potential cars would be in place for the 3 or 4 months before the Runoffs.

Since this change will be effective 9/1/2021, it seems to violate that "policy" at least.

Can anyone on the ASAC, CRB or BOD, please explain to all of us why this is now different? A GTO is registered for the Runoffs.

Usually special rules apply for big teams like Fall-Line.
Has anybody seen this car in person yet? Just wondering if they built it or it's something picked up to try to get a win.

As far as I know, 1 GTO has ever been built for AS. If this is that car, it has had several owners since 2009. So yes, in the early 2010s we saw the GTO at Road America.

I have sent a letter to the BOD about this, asking their review and whether or not the unwritten policy of no competition adjustments in the Tech Bulletin after the June Sprints and prior to the Runoffs is till in place.

If you feel that this needs their attention, I suggest you do the same.
