Good race until ignition failure - second half of video showed you running down the leaders.

Danny, great run, and nice in car video. Thanks for posting. Was trans or clutch acting up? It sounded like it was being a little hard to get into gear on the downshifts. Really too bad aboutt breakage, you were having a great race, and it was fun to watch you chasiing down folks ahead

Kevin,
Sorry i just saw this. Trans and clutch were fine. Towards the end the wire was coming loose and the power was going off then coming back on under braking. Also i dont downshift like normal people im weird. I tend to wait till my braking is almost complete before changing gears just secure as much stability as possible under brakes.

Interesting video. Especially around the 1:20 mark where the Coyote powered car actually gets on the power sooner than you out of 3 and yet you blow right by both him and the yellow Mustang. I guess your claimed 360 HP just works harder than the Coyote's 360 Hp...

Actually the coyote probably has 360 now that the restrictor is bigger. Should make for closer racing. It's a shame that even though he was ahead of me he couldn't get to the throttle till the apex where I was on it turn in and that mph gain helped me in the end. Or maybe it was the yellow car tracking out and almost pushing him in the dirt that made him feather off? Who knows.

Mike and I dragged at mid ohio from the keyhole. He pulled a car on exit and I didn't catch him till the restrictor kicked in about 500 ft from the braking zone.

Also they went into the corner side by side. Probably down shifted to 2nd gear where I had no one and went through in 3rd. They had to shift twice and me once. But your probably right. Its the insane horsepower. Yellow car catches me back into 5.

You mean that point in turn 3 when the 2 mustangs are side by side going around the corner so they don't get any exit speed, The silver one actually dropped a wheel, and Danny ran the line and came out way faster?

Or the Point Danny carried more speed through the kink and closed right up and wasn't willing to make a low percentage move into 12?

Or the point the Mustang missed the apex for 14, Danny didn't, and it took him the whole front straight to close and he still wasn't in a position to pass?

Or was it back at turn 3 again, where the stang missed the apex, tracked wide, and had to slow so Danny could finally get a clean pass based on exit speed?

Those are all perfect examples of how Danny has crushing HP for sure.

I am referring to 1:27 where the orange car blocking caused you to check up and yet you were still able to throttle by.

Looking at the race result for the Runoffs show a top trap for you of 146+ mph. Lavigne has a best of 140 mph. I guess you got one hell of a tow that lap...

Looking at Runoffs quali shows most of the fast FP cars trapping in the 146-148 range. Lavigne? 142 at best.

The yellow car im assuming is what you mean. He shifted and I was in power band. Trap speeds in AS dont mean jack because they put it in the braking zones. So the higher the trap speed the deeper you broke. Because ya know if there are 4 brake markers AS tends to brake at the imaginary 6 marker. Im not at all surprised we can go deeper than Mike with damn near the same brakes and 300 less pounds or something.
