Default Clip in oil pan

I was draining my oil and this clip came out with it. Does anyone know what it is by chance. It does look a little chewed up. Im hoping its not major. Its an 11/2" long

Thats what i thought too but my dipstick is all there. And this is thd 3rd oil change ive done since i bought the car. So i dont think its an old dipstick piece or im sure it wouldve come out by now

Its steel because my drain plug has a magnet on it and when i loosened it that was stuck to it

I can't think of anything in the motor, made of steel, that would look like that, unless it was part of a windage tray or some type of oil pan baffle. It could be part of an old dip stick, one that broke off and was replaced by a new one. Weird.
