I heard at least a couple or other guys were running hot also, I was around 200 most of the weekend, oil temp was up around 280. Florida has some long hot fast tracks (Daytona and Sebring). I use a 2 pass radiator from Allstar racing products, bought at racecar engineering, pretty cheap and I have another local guy who put one in and dropped 30+ degrees over another new aluminum radiator he had just put in.
Another nice thing about the racing 2 radiators is the top connection is a threaded connection and you can get different adapters, I did mine as a -16 and used braided for my top hose. Canton sells the an thermostat housing for sb Ford.
The long high rpm pulls combined with high temps and high humidity make for hot race cars.
