Tech Bulletin
  • Ford Mustang (94-98), Includes Cobra through 1995, p.77, correct specs as follows: "Weight (lbs): 3280". This is a correction to the weight change that was instituted in TB02-02. It is the intent of the Competition Board to make these cars weigh the same as the Chevrolet Camaro.
  • Ford Mustang (99-01), Includes Cobra, p.77, add 2002 model year. Correct specs as follows: "Weight (lbs): 3280". This is a correction to the weight change that was instituted in TB02-02. It is the intent of the Competition Board to make these cars weigh the same as the Chevrolet Camaro.
  • Chevrolet Camaro (82-92), p.77, correct specs in "Notes" section as follows: "Harwood fiberglass hood (P/N 12100) is permitted." The part number currently allowed is for the Pontiac Firebird.

The following items are not recommended at this time
  • Create a spec tire for American Sedan. Insufficient member interest in establishing a spec tire.
  • Add additional alternate transmission models. The alternate transmissions selected were determined to beht most appropriate for racing conditions.

Tech Bulletin
  • Add the following wording to Section 17.1.7.D.3., p.58-59 to assist in installing alternate transmissions: "d. Hardware items (nuts, bolts, etc) may be replaced by similar items performing the same fastening function(s). Driveshaft may be modified to fin alternate differentials and/or transmissions. Facotry driveshats may be replaced with any one-peice driveshaft of steel or aluminum construction. Minimum driveshaft diameter shall be no smaller than stock. k. Richmand "Super T-10 Race Ready transmissions (GM-R0141640, Ford R0241640) may be used, but the "CC" ratios must be installed - 2.88, 1.91, 1.33, 1.00. An alternate bellhousing may be used to facilitate installation. l. Tremec TKO transmissions may be used, but the 1995 Cobra R ratios must be installed - 3.27, 1.98, 1.34, 1.00, 0.68. An alternate bellhousing may be used to facilitate installation. m. When alternate transmissions are installed, transmission crossmembers must be modified to insure that engine location is kept in its original location and to facilitate installation of the transmission. n. Concentric hydaulic clutch release bearings bay be used to facilitate the installation of alternate transmissions on GM cars only."
