Comments on ride height request

Title: Ride height change for AS

Request: Suggesting that the adhoc look at changing the ride height rule in AS. The ride height was established years ago when the class morphed from SSGT. Given that the cars are now seriously race prepped vehicles why would an artificially high ride height be required?

Lowering the ride height from 5" to the current spec of T2 at 3.75" would go a long way towards improving braking, cornering, and tire wear at very little time or expense. It would certainly have the effect of making the cars more stable and therefore drivable.

Looks unpopular based on the FB feedback. It looks like the Fox bodies and early GM products can't take advantage of it.
