Runoffs are 39 days away. What has happened to our AS racers. Why are you all staying home because of cost? Location? What is it? let your board know.
There are a lot from Midwest and east coast going there why doesn't the west coast have more racers entered. Is it cost? location? let your board know. this is the best class in scca don't let it go away.

200 pound weight penalty for Fox bodies. Runoffs are in my back yard and I won't go.

For me it is distance and money. How many AS cars were at Laguna Seca?

Default Runoffs location

Sonoma is too far away for me to make the trip. IMO, the Runoffs should always be in the middle of the country to give everyone the opportunity to attend. Indy seemed to work well for everyone..........

I think The Club has it about right with 1 year out of 4 on the West coast. This probably fits the % of Club racers that live east of the center of the country as compared to west.

I live right by the Mississippi River and my round trip would be almost 5000 miles. Too far for me.

Cost, and bang for the buck. I raced AS four weekends this year, qualified for the run-offs.
But 3 20 minute qual sessions and one race in 5 days is way to much down time for a fun event. I do my racing crewless, and run-offs makes that damn near impossible. Add to that the hassle I experienced with paddock space at the Laguna Run-offs, and the price tag for just entering the event, I just found so many reasons not to attend.

In my opinion, the runoffs need some serious thought. A whole bunch of the drivers are racing in 2 or even 3 different classes. I assume that is because they want more track time than a single class gives them.
