Default New Runoffs Survey Out

Interesting...

---> link removed <---

Looks like I better blow my wad this year (if I had one that is).

edit: I just realized that the link might be a specific one sent to me so it may not work or give a "already done that" message. If you're a Nat'l licensed driver you should have gotten the email. If you didn't get it and you're interested in participating in the survey, email the SCCA and let them know.

My understanding is that the negotiations and announcement will be made public sometime in May.

Questions about what track/s you'd like to race at and what's important to you as far as a Runoffs track goes. The survey was posted over at sccaforums.com but it was recommended to the poster that he remove it in order to keep the results as pure as possible so he did.

Can anyone tell me if it was a list of tracks or was it a write in the blank kind of thing? Could this mean that there is a slight chance INDY might really happen?

There were a number of questions, starting with how many runoffs you have attended, etc. Give, in order of importance, what you look for at the Runoffs track. They included, paddock space, history, length of tow, track configuration, etc. There was a question about what track you would like to see host. Indy, Road Atlanta, VIR, Barber, HPT, Infineon, etc. were included, among others. Can't remember what else.

There was a list of tracks but there was also a provision to write in your own. (couldn't remember how to spell 'Nurburgring'....)

And yes, Indy was on the list.

Default Indy...

Indy sounds like a great rack to race at for the June Sprints...but being from Michigan...Indy could mean freezing rain for the Runoffs.

A little further from snow and freezing rain potential would be good.

Default survey

They also asked about moving ROs into September instead of
October.

Other tracks mentioned were California Speedway, Road America, Road
Atlanta, Daytona, Virginia International, Sebring, Mid-O, Watkins Glen,
Indianapolis, Infineon, Miller Motorsports Park, and Topeka. I might be
missing one or more, this was from memory.

I already took the survey. I said (in comments) that the biggest
determinant (to me attending the ROs) was finding a way to get
2+ weeks of time do the tow and attend.
