Default Looking for SSB Camaro(s)

Hey Guys,

Thought I would give this a shot. I have a good friend who wants to get back into road racing and wants to get his son involved too.. They have a few 4th gen Camaro part cars at their shop, and thought they would like to get into one or possibly two SSB Camaros to get started. The idea is to not put his son into a car that is overpowering. Then, after all is said and done, and they feel they have mastered the car.. they want to eventually make it (them) AS cars....

SOoooooo.... does anyone know of any SSB Camaro(s) for sale? I think they would also consider a less expensive AS Camaro or two (his son is paying his own way and going to college... he's a good kid).

Any and all information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

You might try Mike Pettiford (sp?) at the Go4it racing school in Colorado. He drove one last year and changed to a Solstice. Don't have his number. Also Aquilante at Phoenix might have one.

Thanks for the leads guys... Aquilante wont part with the cars.. his daughters wont let em... Hope my girls are like that when they get older.

He has talked to Mike about his, one is assembled, one isnt. Right now they cant come to terms on a price.

The one listed last month sold very quickly.. we were on top of it and it was already gone.

We'll keep looking... I might have em talked into a T2 car... who knows.

Thanks again...

Kristian

Kristian, the Rob Hines 1999 National Championship 1996 Camaro is available. Its a T2 car, blueprinted engine, cage by the guy who used to do all of Phoenix cages, ex-Tom Oates car. I think Tom had a second and we had a first and second at the runoffs. This is a safe solid car. I think we have a few spares like a set of front fenders and some misc. stuff. We will give you the suspension specs that gave the car a lot of track records in the tough Northeast Division. How about a low price of $8k for it. We also have a spare transmission for just a little bit more. Best to reach me at racerbob4@yahoo.com

You know what quality of car we run and this would be a great car for someone wanting to get into racing safely for a year or two and then convert the car over to American Sedan.

Guys,

Thank you so much for the leads... I am passing along all info. I was talking to my friend tonight, and he is beginning to lean towards a T2 car to start off with, and then convert to AS... Sweet!!!.. more converts... They are good guys and would be good for the class.

Any and all leads will be followed up guys.. so if you have one, put it on out there.

THANK YOU ALL!!!... You guys rock (as usual)!..

Kristian

This one is kind of old and I have no idea if it's still for sale, but I saw the car in person and it looked well-built and maintained.

Matt -- do you know if that's Don Mill's old car? I'm pretty certain Baker was prepping Don's cars when he last raced. If so, it's well prepped.

What Kristian is helping happen here is an example of how the new rules opens the doors to participation we would have never seen in the past...
