To explain. Got a great start. Turn 2 the black Nissan turned in hard, right into my left side. He can be seen trailing dirt on the outside of the corner.

In retrospect, I never should have put myself in position for this to happen. I have raced with this group many times and know that they fight hard with each other. It was legal, but stupid, to put my car where I did, when I did. I got such a great start I thought I could put the whole bunch of them between me and Kim. It ended up costing me the race. It knocked off my brake duct hose, the brakes over heated and I lost the bead on the left front tire from the heat.
I did apologize to the Nissan driver.

It's interesting that this issue of Sports Car has Randy Pobst talking about exactly this sort of situation.

The newest member, on the site, Derek Kulach, was driving the black Z car that can be seen sliding off into the dirt on this video.
